I was preparing for retirement from the Air Force and was considering whether or not to move back east to my home state of North Carolina. This would bring me closer to my family after 19 years of living in Montana. I had tried numerous times to get stationed closer and none had been successful.
I sought counsel from numerous people in the church and had been lightly praying about it when a brother in the church told me his testimony about the same dilema, which he had gone through a year earlier.
He said he took a walk and had a heart to heart with God. On this walk, God spoke to him and let him know that he was to stay in Great Falls.
This is not what I wanted to hear, but I knew I needed to hear clearly from God so I asked directly to know His will, not that I do His will. I know that I was told to stay where I was planted and I am.
